Barolo - Manfredi - Farigliano (CN)

Here is the English translation of the Manfredi Barolo description:

Barolo DOCG (Cantine Manfredi)

The Barolo from Cantine Manfredi is the expression of an authentic family tradition that has, for generations, been deeply rooted in Farigliano, at the gateway to the Langhe. Although vinified at the historic family cellars in Farigliano, this great red wine is born from carefully selected Nebbiolo grapes sourced from vineyards located in the heart of the official Barolo denomination. The Manfredi family's philosophy focuses on respecting the grape variety and Piedmontese tradition, offering a Barolo that makes balance, approachability, and classic style its most genuine hallmarks.

Visually, it presents itself with an intense, clear, and beautifully balanced garnet red color, embellished with the characteristic orange highlights that develop with natural elegance during the aging period, moving in the glass with a noble and measured body. On the nose, the aroma is classic, clean, and enveloping: delicate floral notes of dried rose and violet stand out, blending with hints of ripe red fruit and plum jam. The finish reveals elegant, warm nuances of sweet spices, licorice, tobacco, and a subtle touch of oak from its time spent in wood.

The palate is treated to a warm, proud experience of excellent harmony. The sip is full, dry, robust, and pleasantly velvety. The tannic texture, characteristic of the Nebbiolo grape, is well-defined and present, yet appears balanced and beautifully smoothed by aging, integrating with a freshness that keeps the palate fluid and never heavy. The finish is persistent and clean, leaving a delightful echo of fruity and spicy notes.

At the table, it pairs magnificently with the rich dishes of traditional Piedmontese and earthy cuisine: it is ideal for accompanying savory pasta dishes with meat sauces (such as traditional agnolotti del plin), great red meat roasts, braised beef (brasato), wild game, and stews. It also proves to be an excellent companion for platters of aged cheeses or local hard cheeses.
