Here is the English translation of the Terre del Barolo description:
Barolo DOCG (Terre del Barolo)
The Barolo from Terre del Barolo is the liquid story of cooperation and rural passion that has, since 1958, united over three hundred winemaking families across the Langhe. Produced in the historic winery located right in the municipality of Barolo, this wine is an authentic and faithful ambassador of the denomination. It is born from the skillful blending of Nebbiolo grapes harvested from the primary and most celebrated villages of the region (including Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, La Morra, Serralunga d’Alba, and Monforte d’Alba). This plurality of terroirs grants the wine an extraordinary balance, beautifully merging the structural power of Serralunga with the aromatic finesse of La Morra.
Visually, it expresses the classic nature of the grape variety with an intense, clear, and deep garnet red color, which acquires warm orange highlights with the slow passing of time in the bottle, moving with a rich body in the glass. On the nose, the aroma is clean, varietally true, and highly inviting: an enveloping bouquet where scents of dried violet, plum, and small red berries stand out, enriched by earthy notes, sweet spices, licorice, tobacco, and a subtly ethereal touch that evokes the grand traditions of the Langhe.
The palate reveals a wine of great solidity, warmth, and character. The sip is full, dry, austere, and beautifully harmonious. The tannic texture is well-defined and vigorous, yet masterfully smoothed by traditional aging in large oak casks, integrating flawlessly with a pleasant mineral freshness. The flavor is deep and consistent with the olfactory notes, guiding the palate toward a clean, dry, and long-lasting finish.
At the table, it is the ideal companion for rich, structured dishes of traditional Piedmontese and earthy cuisine: superb with pasta dishes topped with wild boar ragù or truffles, great red meat roasts, braised beef (brasato), pot roasts, and wild game. It also pairs perfectly with long-aged hard cheeses and makes an excellent choice as an after-dinner or conversation wine.
